Hello there! My name’s Josh, I’m a professionally trained actor with a passion for voice work.

I’m a professionally trained actor with a passion for voice work.

My voice has been featured in commercials for Amazon, American Express, Ubisoft, The Guardian and Chip to name but a few.

I have a particular passion for voicing video games and have recorded countless characters for projects such as Total War, The Division, Killer Frequency, Realms of Ruin, Chivalry and dozens more.

As an audiobook narrator, I’ve recorded roughly a hundred titles to date (I lost count a while ago!) and work regularly with all the major British publishing houses.

I’ve performed in numerous audio dramas for BBC Radio, as well as amazing companies like Audible, Big Finish and Almost Tangible.

Finally, as an actor, I’ve performed in some of the UK’s most prestigious theatres, including the National Theatre, National Theatre of Scotland and Shakespeare’s Globe.

I have a well-equipped home studio which I regularly use to record all manner of projects. I guarantee efficiency, professionalism and enthusiasm.

The Studio

Here it is. My beautifully constructed acoustically-treated isolation booth. Or as I like to call it the Tardis.

Inside you’ll find my Rode NT2-A microphone, my Focusrite 6i6 pre-amp, my webcam, and a monitor linked up to my computer running either Twisted Wave or Logic Pro depending on your needs.

I am happy to arrange sessions worldwide via Source Connect Standard, Source Connect Now, Clean Feed, ipDTL, Zoom and Skype. I can also record remotely, and then send you the completed audio in your chosen format.

 

Delivery and Pricing

The Basic Session Fee (BSF) is a bit like the "hourly rate" which most professional voiceover artists in the UK charge for their services, usually between £200-£300.

My BSF is £250. At the moment I am not registered for VAT. For this you receive:

  • Hire of my professional studio and audio engineering services

  • Optional live directed session

  • My professional performance as many times as required in one session to ensure you get exactly the take you need, with the correct pace, tone and style

  • Raw recordings of the whole directed session if required

  • Post-production: a full edit finished and produced to broadcast quality standards

  • Supply of audio within 72 hours

The BSF covers all types of voiceover including corporate VO of 1-5 minutes. However, if the voiceover is to be used online or broadcast, there will also be an additional USAGE FEE. These are calculated by:

  • The number of geographical locations the voiceover will be heard in

  • The amount of people who will see or hear (or use) the product which features the voiceover

  • The number of platforms the voiceover will be heard on (eg online, TV, radio)

  • The duration of the licence that is granted
